Messy Church happens on the second Monday of the month at 17.30-19.00. Please check the venue each time, because we alternate between St Leonard’s and St Aidan’s. Early booking is necessary because of the food and craft activities.

Messy Church is aimed at families with primary school age children or younger. Also older siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles and godparents can come together to enjoy being together, eating, being creative and celebrating God together through his word, music and prayer.

Messy Church enables busy families to worship together when Sunday morning is not always an option. Please come and join us – everyone is welcome!

Our Messy Church values are:

To provide an opportunity for people of all ages to worship together.

To help people know Jesus better through worship, stories and friendship.

To help people of all ages to feel that they belong in church and to experience a Christian community.

To help people have fun together through craft and art activities and give them a chance to express their creativity.

To give people an experience of the hospitality of God, which is most evident in the shared meal.

Donations towards the costs will be gratefully received. There is a sandwich supper for children and hot drinks for the adults. Please discuss any special diets or food allergies in advance.

All children must be accompanied by an adult who remains fully responsible for them during the whole session. The leaders have been DBS checked.
