Christian Community Larder

Opening times: 9.30 to 11.30 am MONDAY and FRIDAY

Brownedge Christians Together Food Bank reopened on the 1st of August 2022 as a Community Larder at the back of St Aidan’s Church. Refrigerated, frozen and fresh food is now on offer together with long-life products for a contribution of £2.50.

The Larder provides food support to individuals and families from Bamber Bridge, Clayton-le-Woods, Lostock Hall and Walton-le-Dale. Donations of non-perishable food are collected at Brownedge St. Mary’s, Methodist Church, St. Aidan’s, St. Bede’s and St. Gerard’s, many local schools and Morrisons and Sainsbury’s.

While the Larder is open, coffee morning operates next door in the Community Hub at St Aidan’s Church. Drinks, toast and cakes are served for a voluntary donation and there is a children’s corner with toys. Advisory agencies also visit to offer practical help and volunteers are always available to talk to.
